Petscop Wiki

This is a page for the basic rules for the wiki.

Account & behavior

Be nice and respectful to others
Don't attack or insult other people - there is never a reason to.
Do not spam or bother other users. If someone asks you to leave them alone, please respect them.
Discriminatory language and behavior, including slurs which degrade another person or group of people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc. are strictly prohibited.
Trolls will be quickly blocked and dealt with. This is not a space to "mess around" with other people or pages.
Avoid unnecessary inappropriate content
Swearing is not prohibited, but it is not allowed to direct it towards other individuals or editors.
Due to the nature of Petscop's story, some more mature topics may be discussed in regards to Petscop. However, they should not be discussed if the topic has no relation to Petscop.
NSFW imagery is prohibited on the Fandom platform, and so is also prohibited here.
Assume good faith
Wikis rely on assuming good faith to function.
Don't jump to conclusions when someone does something wrong. Maybe they didn't mean to, or know it was wrong.
Do not mislead or cause harm
Petscop is NOT an alternate-reality game (ARG). Its story is completely within the channel.
Trying to pass off fanmade content or false information as being legitimately involved with Petscop (i.e. "gamejacking") is not allowed under any circumstances.
Clear bad faith editing of this manner will result in a block. For edits that do not appear to be in bad
Attempting to add claims or theories that are harmful in general will be removed and may result in a block if in bad faith.
Any doxxing attempts will result in a permanent block.
Do not minimod
Minimodding is when you try to act like a mod when you're not.
This includes giving warnings to users, telling someone their post is against the rules, etc.
Even if you intend to be helpful by just giving reminders, it's best to let actual mods do it. This is because if something goes wrong, they can handle it; you can't.
If you see something going wrong that looks like a mod should step in, notify a mod. If it's on Discussions, you can also use the Report Post button.

Content & editing

Vandalism is strictly prohibited
As said before, this isn't a space to "mess around" with other people or pages. It's not funny to mess up other people's work.
Vandalism - defacing the content on this wiki - will be met with minimum 2 week blocks. It is against Fandom's policies.
Remember to assume good faith! Not every strange edit you see was intentional.
If you see a page that's been vandalized, you can undo or revert the edits yourself.
Please read up on how to edit before editing
It's okay to make mistakes, but try to minimize them, since many mistakes can become an issue for other users to fix.
You can find help on how to edit on Fandom here:

Follow guidelines for formatting
These are at Project:Manual of style
This helps pages stay consistent, which makes it easier for readers to navigate the wiki.
Please do not make major content decisions on your own
Think something would "look better" if done differently? Do you think a page should be under a different name? Do you think a template should be changed?
STOP! These are the types of discussions you should ask other editors about first.
Wikis are all about collaboration, so please start discussions on these sorts of changes before making them.
